Denver's Arapahoe County Fair & Rodeo

One of the best rodeos of the Colorado summer is the 2013 Arapahoe County Fair & Rodeo – a Centennial State tradition since 1861. Make your way to Aurora – a suburb of the Denver metropolitan area – and get ready for a rootin', tooting' good time. Choose from family fun activities such as carnival rides and games, and make sure you catch the CPRA and Junior Rodeo.

You’re in for quite a show. Head over to the CPRA Rodeo on both Friday and Saturday night, starting at 7 p.m. Gear up for some team and calf roping, not to mention bareback and Saddle Bronc riding.

Get on your feet for some barrel racing, and of course, bull riding. Before the show, check out the Arapahoe County’s 4-H program and exhibitors – known to returning guests as the heart of the fair.

The question isn’t whether or not to attend the Arapahoe County Fair & Rodeo, but what to do first. So spend a few days at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds – all of 12 miles from the Best Western hotel in Aurora and a half-hour drive from Denver.
