Indian Peaks Wilderness Area

Indian Peaks Wilderness Area

Encompassing over 76,000 acres, the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area is an incredibly beautiful wilderness area sitting northwest of the Denver metro area.

The wilderness area features seven prominent peaks reaching over 13,000 feet in elevation.

The area is a part of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and straddles the Continental Divide.

Native American tribe names were chosen for the names of seven peaks in the area.

Recreational activities include hiking, biking, fishing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
