North Sterling State Park
Established in 1992, North Sterling State Park encompasses 5,700 acres of land adjacent to the North Sterling Reservoir in northern Colorado. Those looking to fish have plenty of opportunity along the shoreline or on the water, where Walleye, yellow perch, bass, and channel catfish all lurk below the water's surface waiting to bite a tempting hook.
Sterling visitors can make the short drive in and enjoy almost endless water skiing, sailing, swimming, and boating, as well as hiking, picnicking, biking, birding, horseback riding, and hunting. The park's Visitor Center has plenty of information, supplies, and permits for fun in the park.
