Passengers depart from Antonito, Colorado or from Chama, New Mexico and view magnificent Rocky Mountain scenery along the way.
Highlights along the trip include traveling along the rim of the 800-foot deep Toltec Gorge - through Mud Tunnel, Rock Tunnel and crossing the 137-foot tall Cascade Trestle. The operating season stretches from the end of May through the middle of October, with a variety of departing times. While in southern Colorado, stay with Best Western hotels in Alamosa - approximately 30 miles north of Antonito - for comfortable accommodations.
