Most Popular Area Attractions
First constructed in 1893, the Argo Gold Mine, Mill, and Museum is now a National Historic Site and must-see for Idaho Springs visitors. The historic Argo Tunnel helped put the site on the map, as it was used to transport ore from the mines, stretching 4.5 miles to Central City.
Today, the Double Eagle Gold mine tour, Argo mill tour, and the live demonstration of the rock drilling are fun ways to learn of this rich history.
