Montrose's County Fair & Rodeo

Head to Montrose this summer – a beautiful Colorado city found in the southwest part of the state along U.S. Route 50 – and find your favorite family rodeo. Home of the 2013 Montrose County Fair & Rodeo, this town is more than ready to show you the time of your life. This year, the rodeo is celebrating its 127th anniversary – yet another reason to head for the Rockies and settle in for another great rodeo.

This entire event kicks off with the CPRA Rodeo starting at 6:30 p.m., and continues the next day with horse races at noon. Then, get a good view of the Fair Parade happening at 10 a.m. – the best way to experience Montrose’s pride in their western and agricultural heritage – followed by the Texaco Country Showdown at Friendship Hall.

Other events include the Team Roping Show and the Pig Scramble. The Montrose County Fair & Rodeo ends in late July with the Fair Dance, and sees its guest off the following day after Gymkhana.
